FÉDÉRATION MONDIALE DES ZONES FRANCHES (FEMOZA)

The Federation was established in December 1.999 in Geneva, Switzerland, as Fédération Mondiale des Zones Franches FEMOZA, it is a non for profit organization, according its statutes and article 60 and also those of the civil code of Switzerland.

The Federation is a non-governmental organization whose main objectives are to promote the Free Zones of the world, to assist their development with juridical, technical and economic support. Priority is to be given to the emergent countries and economies in transition.FEMOZA hopes, nevertheless, to generate a positive influence among the International Institutions, giving and recommending the rules and processes which will improve the quality, development, transparency and management of the Free Zones.

To become an entity respected all over the world

To have members who represent the Free Zones, public or private and as well as other sectors of the economy.

To be the LEADER for its professionalism and reputation of its members.

STRATEGIES

1. The most important Free Zones in the world, as well as their highest executive staff, should involved in the projects and goals of the Federation.

2. To edit and publish technical instruments which will become supportive and useful tools.

3. To organize Conferences and Workshops, which will offer answers to the questions related to Free Zones. Also giving practical examples as experience by international experts in each subject.

4. To set up some research and technological developing programmes, which could be applied in any country of the world.

5. To keep a presence in all the Continents, regionalizing "FEMOZA", by our own presence or an institutional association.

6. To motivate groups, in order to make technical visits to successful and consolidated Free Zones.

7. To establish forms of recognition and distinctions to those natural or juridical people who have stood out in the developing or their support to the Free Zones.

8. To reinforce the organizing structure by the incorporation of strategic partners to develop projects which demand a specialization, also to offer services with highest added value.

9. To seek an active presence in all the "Forums": technical, political, managing, scientific, commercial and didactic, related to the International Commerce, Finance and Free Zones.

10. To set up a collaboration and agreements with other Associations or Organizations with similar or complementary goals to ours. Coordinating combined actions which should benefit the society.

11. To insure a regular and sufficient flow of financial resources, which will allow a self-sufficient structure.

12. To obtain the observer status at International Organizations

PRINCIPLES

• All members will be served equally.
• A transparency, integrity and an ethical conduct of all activities.
• To help balancing the economies of all countries and their people.
• To give efficient support and technology to all the Free Zones in the world.
• To work towards receiving recognition from Institutions, Members and Partners.
• The benefits coming from the activities which will be developed, will be used for a self-financing, for having a stronger Federation and to develop new projects in a common interest for the Free Zones.
